At global software company Moodle, Dr. Lutzky serves as Manager for the U.S. team that supports schools seeking to enhance their learner experience through education technology.
Before joining Moodle, Dr. Lutzky served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Element451, an AI platform for higher education, Vice President of University Partnerships at Risepoint (formerly Academic Partnerships) and as Director of University Partnerships at InStride. His distinguished career includes enrollment leadership positions at elite institutions including Cornell University, New York University (NYU), Pace University, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he led admissions, international recruitment, teaching assistant management, and financial aid administration. Dr. Lutzky has also established himself as an expert professor in digital media and human-computer interaction for graduate programs at University of Southern California and NYU.
Dr. Lutzky’s extensive board leadership spans prestigious educational and advocacy organizations. He advanced graduate education excellence during his tenure on the Board of Directors of NAGAP, the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management, where he edited their publication Perspectives. As an elected member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Alumni Association Board of Trustees for over six years, he strengthened alumni engagement initiatives related to admissions and diversity. At NYU, Dr. Lutzky was elected Chair of the Administrative Management Council, serving on the Executive Committee of the University Senate. At the state level, Dr. Lutzky contributed his expertise as Acting Chair for the Board of Study New York, a consortium of colleges and universities focused on international student engagement, and as a board member of the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Lutzky holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and master’s degrees from Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Arizona State University Walter Cronkite School for Journalism and Mass Communications. In 2020 he completed a Certificate in Leadership Principles from Harvard Business School Online.
